Blind Judo Foundation a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit formed in San Mateo, California.
Our EIN number is 20-1419147.

It may sound strange to have a non-profit called Blind Judo Foundation but what we do is combine the sport of Judo with blind / visually impaired children or young adults to create pure joy and confidence.
Ask a blind or visually impaired child what they fear most. And many will tell you it's falling or getting hurt.
Imagine then what would a blind or visually impaired child or young adult want to be doing on a mat with someone else that is wanting to throw them to ground?
Good question. Let me ask you, have you ever seen your child beam with a smile that could light up Chicago? The joy, lightness and happiness that they are telling the world through that one smile is why they are on the mat.
You have to experience this for yourself. To see a blind or visually impaired child throw their first adult over their shoulders. To feel that physical-ness brings smiles and tears to your eyes.
We are about bringing independence, character and self-confidence to the world of the blind and visually impaired children of our world.
Help us achieve the difference that so often makes a difference in their lives.
