Blind Judo Foundation a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit formed in San Mateo, California.
Our EIN number is 20-1419147.
Your donation is tax deductible.
Why should I donate to your non-profit 501(c)(3)?
Over 70% of blind and visually impaired kids do not participate in any physical activity. Simply put they are afraid of falling.
Donating to the Blind Judo Foundation brings the sport of Judo and physical fitness to blind and visually impaired children and young adults. They deserve to develop the same opportunities of leadership, confidence, humility, and responsibility that sighted children have. Judo is one sport that changes the lives of blind and visually impaired like no other sport. Your investment changes lives!
Why should I help you with your mission instead of anybody else and everybody else?
It’s a fair question.
There are many nonprofit organizations available to support in the US. The Blind Judo Foundation is one of a select few dedicated to the sport of Judo AND the blind and visually impaired. I know no other non-profit in the world that combines the two.
Why judo and blind kids? Simple. As I mentioned before one of the biggest fears of a blind and visually impaired person is the fear of falling. Have you ever watched a judo match? It's all about falling right. And falling smart. It’s physical and it teaches balance. What a perfect thing to teach a blind and visually impaired person to help them lead a more independent life with more confidence and joy.
What can your non-profit do for me and the recipients of my donation that no other non-profit can do?
You will be providing a ticket.
Investing in the Blind Judo Foundation, you will be providing a “ticket” for a blind or visually impaired child or young adult to become competitive and achieve independence. This means they will develop confidence, physical fitness, self-esteem and motivation that will carry over into their work, relationships with others along with other facets of their lives.
The Blind Judo Foundation is looking for the right partners in this endeavor who wish to make a true difference in someone’s life. Without finding such a committed and passionate partner like you, the Foundation cannot meet its mission of helping blind and visually impaired children and young adults achieve independence. The unfortunate consequence regrettably is that many deserving athletes who are blind or visually impaired will not have the chance to develop to their fullest potential and unleash their many hidden-behind-their-disability capabilities without your support and investment.
What can you guarantee me that nobody else can guarantee?
Besides bringing tears to your eyes and warmth to your heart, your investment in the Blind Judo Foundation will assure you that they will be learning Judo from some of the best Judo Coaches in the world. Really.
They will interact with many sighted along with blind and visually impaired athletes like themselves. Thereby gaining confidence and self-sufficiency that will carry with them their whole life. These children and young adults will “feel” the world from a different point of view.
It is not too often one has the opportunity to influence their life by training with the past Coach of the US Olympic Judo Team, US Paralympic Judo Team, Stanford University Judo Team, San Francisco State University Judo Team just to name a few accolades. Coach Willy Cahill is that legend.
Our Coach and Co-Founder of the Foundation has been recognized by Past US Presidents like Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush. We can guarantee your investment will be placed with the best of the best in coaching leadership allowing the greatest guarantee of success.
And if that is not enough we are really frugal. Every donated dollar we receive is stretched farther than any other for or not-for profit we know of. I’m not ashamed to have people call me frugal when it comes to investing others money.
Together you are making a difference.
